View Full Version : Finished Children's Book Looking for Illustrator

I've been working on a series of children's books recently, but am kind
of at a standstill at the moment while I search for an illustrator. I'm
looking for an illustrator who will be able to produce artwork similar to
the cartoony-Disney style (thick lines, clean look, bright color). Being
a series there is a lot of potential for the books to succeed. I can
compensate, though I don't have much to work with. I'd like to find an
illustrator who wouldn't mind being in it for the long haul should the
books do well. The plan now is to at least get a mock copy of the book
out in order to test the market and demand on it, then to dive into self
publishing, or possibly finding a publisher should the situation lead to
that. As you know, a lot happens in the publishing world, and guarding
your ideas is a must. I'll be happy to share more in more privacy. I
can tell you the books do carry a spiritual message and are geared to
kids ages 4-6 (or around there). If this sounds like something you'd be
interested in getting involved with, please email me at [email protected]
or respond to the post with ways to get in touch with you.

Thanks for the time,

Hi Chad,
Your children's book series sounds like an interesting illustration project. I would be very interested in finding out more. You can see some of my art by visiting my website. If you think that my style of painting would be a match for your books, then you can contact me from there.

I wish you the very best with your publishing endeavor!

Check out Cindy Revell on the internet. Don't know if that is the type of illustration you are looking for, but I have seen her work and was in a workshop with her 2 years ago. She's a nice person too!

I don't know what you have in mind, but here is a sample of my style.
