Looks like you've got a nice elephant shape going and interesting negative spaces.

Hi have been touching up making the elephant a bit darker mixing black and burnt sienna and a touch of white. Have added some wrinkle with a pen and diluted solution of brown and black. Just going to let it dry complete out before I added any more.

I'm seeing a lot of a golden tone in the areas of the elephant where the sun is hitting. You might try a wash of raw sienna or yellow ochre on them.
Also notice that some of the elephant's wrinkles actually curve up in places like his knees and where his skin sags on his cheeks under his eyes.

Your elephant is terrific. I really like his eye and the wrinkles. He would make a lovely illustration for a children's book.

Terrific finish Gill.
One thing tho'. I think I would soften those darks a little on the elephant..

Softened the dark edges and also pulled out the dark shadow under his feet.

Can someone move my work to the watercolour gallery please as I do not know how to do this. Thanks

You just open a new thread in the Watercolor Gallery and post your painting there with the info as to size, paper, reference, etc. You can also give a link to this thread if you want. Easy-Peasy. ;)
