Hello.
Can someone tell which colors are in 12 Introductory Colours Box and in 6 Introductory Colours Box from sennelier?
thanks.
If you go to the Jerry's Artarama site and to the 12 Starter set and click on the Tech Notes icon, you find the following list: 001, 006, 237, 203, 042, 045, 019, 026, 200, 220, 034, 023. Here's a link:

You can do the same for the 6 set. Jane

I just tried that link and it didn't work. It may just be because I have a Mac and my browser won't open it, don't know why. However, when I went to the site itself, www.jerrysartarama.com and clicked on pastels it came up. You might have to do that, don't know. Don't you love computers.....

Have started to list my colors, since Sennelier's system is impossible and I have too many duplicate colors. I printed them out (of course, they are not in numerical order, that would be easy) from ASW and Dick Blick, put them in a note book and am tediously going through all my colors. Just happened to have been able to find these for you:
001 - White; 006 light blue; 237 French Ultramarine blue; 203 Delft blue; 042 Yellow green; 045 medium green; 019 Lemon yellow; 026 Yellow ochre; 200 Mandarin (bright, deep orange); 220 Permanent intense red; 034 Burnt umber; 023 Black.
I would get the largest possible set, because you will want more colors. ASW is having a sale until the end of February and their complete set of 120 in a wooden box is $190 until then. At Dick Blick, the same set is always $196.
Check out the Assorted set of 48 for a good range of colors at either site for around $62. I am sorry I didn't just go for the whole set together since buying piecemeal ends up with many duplicates and it's tiresome to sort them.
Numbers on the crayons are tiny and I need a magnifying glass.
Good luck and hope you enjoy them.

Thanks for looking up all those colors, Paula. There is a list of Senneliers at Jerry's that shows all the colors and their corresponding #s. The colors are reasonably accurate. Good luck.
