This is my first finished work of 2008. I named it "Classique" because her style is inspired by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and vintage photos. I love those early black and white photographs. I wanted to capture some of that style in this drawing, and the simplicity of those shots appeals to me.

This one was not drawn entirely with pens either. I also used some ink painting and brushwork to get the right feeling for the cloth, and to maintain a feeling of softness in the drape and her body.

I hope you like it, and C&C is welcome! :)

And I didn't forget the icon this time. ;)

Everyone, thanks so much for your comments. :D I really do appreciate all the support here. You've helped my work improve a great deal since that first time I posted here a few years ago.

And Michelle, thanks for the compliments and the visit to my blog! I do know of Aubrey Beardsley's work, and I love Erte's artwork. I just bought a whole book of his designs last year, and it's just amazing art.
