It needs lots of work, so bear with me. This is 16"x20" assorted softies. The original photo came from the image library, but this looks totally different now. My mind wandered a bit

Will update soon. C&C welcome.

On a dreary evening like we have at the moment, I could just transfer myself into this picture, sit in a nice easy chair and bask in the warmth of this scene!

It is peaceful and serene. a lovely picture.

I can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Paula - I think it stands quite nicely on its own so I'm curious what more you will add. There is a wonderful sense of tranquility in this.

Well, you certainly kicked that slump to the curb! This is gorgeous, Paula! It's so soothing to look at and I'm with you, no people are necessary. I want to go here to get away from people (unless they're from WC!, of course.)

Paula, this is beautiful! I'm so curious how or what it was that made the "slumps" go away, cuz this is great work! Are you done yet, cuz it looks finished to me...

You always manage to pick the 'right' 'photo, Paula ; this is a very emotive piece, makes me want to pitch a tent and relax.

Interesting ( for me as I've just come here from the extreme palette thread ); warmish greens in the distant trees on the mountain slope and cooler greens in the band of trees in the middle foreground - and yet it works !!!

Paula, this has a very high Wow!-factor, it is stunningly beautiful in vibrating colours. 'Slump' seems to be dead and buried for good!

Thank you all so much!! I honestly don't know what brought me out of the slump. It all started with that hideous piece with the mud flats, so I went back to my comfort zone and everything was ok again.
