Dotee Dolls

I recently discovered the world of swapping and have been having fun doing some small crafty/fiber things I wouldn't have done otherwise, namely, the making of Dotee Dolls (named for the lady who orignated them in Australia.) I've made two so far and have lots of ideas for more, but thought you all might enjoy seeing them.
This one is for a swap ~ I've called her Miss Heart. She is about 3 to 4" long, not including the beaded tail and hanger.

This one is for a friend who is going through a rough time right now. Figured she needed a little bit of loving, so here is Valentina ~ made of red velvet with a silk moire backing. Size just a smidgen smaller than the first one.

I've never been much into dolls, but I'm sure having fun with these! Let me know what you think!

Have one more thing to share, also for a swap. This one is a strawberry themed matchbox made of velvet, stuffed with wool. So cute I almost don't want to send it off!

Lisa, your Dotee Dolls are adorable!!!! I can see why you don't want to send the matchbox off...it is exquisite!!! Is it just a pretty or does is have a purpose as well? Nice work and thanks for showing us!

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! I've been having so much fun crafting little fun stuff lately! Have some more Dotee dolls that I have to share. Will put them up in a new thread. Have been making more of the little strawberry boxes ~ love making them! So beautifully tactile! Turning the little boxes into little sewing kits with a needle book in the drawer. May see if I can sell a few. So different than anything I've worked on in ages!
