Hi, I thought I might show this here.
Did this painting for my co-worker of her house. Since it was more of a "free" commission, I painted it very loose and painterly. "Normal" customers prefer tight, photorealistic renderings, but since I did it more for practice, I did it the way I wanted.
Any comments welcome.
It's acrylics on 18x24" canvas board.

Thanks for all the positive reply. I have done house portraits for 3 of my coworkers by now, mostly as surprise gifts to them and - kinda selfish of me - to practice and hopefully get some more real commissions from their friends and neighbors who will see the paintings.
So far everybody has been thrilled, and when I presented the paintings, all 3 of them had tears in their eyes.
That in itself is usually very rewarding, and I have really learned alot more about painting just doing some.

This is wonderful and I love your style. The warmth emanates from your painting. Personally I prefer your style in comparison to photorealistic renderings. I love the colours.....
