Hi
I am a freshie on Wet Canvas and it is nice to find an oil pastel forum here. I find many instructors and others don't like oils but I do.
I have just started using Velour Paper for my non oil pastels. Has anyone here tried using the velour paper? I use the Holbein Artist OPs.
Thanks,
Randi-Lee

Hi Randi-Lee, welcome to Wetcanvas and to the OP forum. I've never tried velour for any medium (yet), so I can't comment on that. I look forward to seeing your work if you're so inclined.
Welcome to the OP forum Randi-Lee. I don't use velour paper, but Sundiver (Wendy) uses suede paper or board which I believe is similar to velour. Here's a couple of hers on suede paper:

Hope this helps. Jane

Welcome to the OP forum, Randi-Lee. I have never used velour paper, but as Jane says, Wendy uses it often. Maybe she will see this and reply.

Thanks for the replies and the links to Wendy's pictures, Jane. Those are wonderul pictures and some call it suede and some call it velour. I guess I will give it a try on the velour.
