This is a commission I did. I went out and took several photo's of this mare and I rode her and got to know her before painting her. I wanted to do something different then my usual stuff and this is what I came up with. dont know as if I ever really loved the idea but the owner did.

Definitely different--LOVE the eye! Only part I'm not sure about is the shadow on the main horses' mane from the bottom smaller horse--a little distracting to me but not greatly. Love the background too.

Love it. I am partial to things that are out of the ordinary and this certainly fills the bill. Beautiful work as well as the concept. Plus Pintos are my very favorite. :thumbsup:

The lady I did the portrait for said to go for it and do whatever I wanted. so I experimented a little. I like most of it but there are parts I dont like as well. I love the eye, Because she looks like she is looking into mine.

You may start a trend with this, I recall seeing a layout like this years ago, the subject was a sports car of some type, but this is just so much better. I really like the concept, thanx 4 posting, this pleaseth thine eyes

Reminds me a little of the work of Bev Doolittle... she builds landscapes with trees and rocks that are faces or other animals... effective.
