MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:

Nice composition and painting. Range of values are wonderful. The only things that jump out at me is the darkest shadow under her jaw, it may be a bit too dark, and the man's forearms don't seem quite right if you compare them.
This is going to make a great gift!

yes, beautiful gray scale. But the guys right arm and leg would be verrrrry long!

Something seems off in the size of the girl's hands, or in the angle of the left hand. Also, her face seems a bit planar. The guy's left arm seems tubelike. Other than those nitpicks, I think you've created a gift they'll remember for a lifetime. I really enjoy the setting for this portrait.
wonderful composition, liking that alot, and i love monochromes
definitely the guys right arm/leg (our left) need to be sucked up towards his body and you've got lots of room to scooch things ... good job really, quite nice indeed

This is an excellent composition. The bottom one third of the painting is really well done - the section of her shoes and rocks:clap:

How old is the couple. They look so young.
