My father in the city.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:

Thomas, another super painting! How about some shadows under him to ground him. I love the casual pose!

I like the colors used in this Thomas, I'm thinking that a slight graying of the background buildings would be useful. Your dads form is almost lost in the similar colors. Also the hard detail of windows push the buildings at us. To just suggest such details and let it go would probably serve better. I really like this, as Dana mentioned...the casual pose...

Good job Thomas. I agree with the others on the shadows and bldgs. Keep having fun......Lenore

My guess is this was painted from a photograph.
Nice, interesting composition -- the strongest part in this piece, imho.
Love the abstracted buildings.
Color: it would really enhance the piece if the color of the skin and the sky were of different colors. I agree with C.L.Magnuson.
Minor technique detail: the right hand appears slightly too foreshortened. Maybe just my eye-meter though.
Ok, anyone else has association with the "Scream"? :)

I like this. Not very well explained or detailed. But the feeling is there and after all, isn't art about a feeling? Keep going on the path you are on.
