What can I do to make them better?

Interesting to be able to look at both of these. Nice composition. My suggestions: I'd like to see some highlights on the water, especially on the gold paintings which has relected light on the hill. I'd like to see more detail on the water and I think it would help to vary the sky color and value from that of the water, in both paintings.

IMHO, Top image; some light action on the water and white at shoreline rocks etc. may add interest, also more gradation in the sky would be great. I really love the detail of the foreground rocks on the second image, that would be awesome in the top image also!
Bottom image; IMHO, The gradation of the sky could be reversed and the mountian, maybe some magentas in the shadows?

I like the 1st painting best overall. (I thought the Emerald Isle was green.:wink2: ) I like the detail of the house in the 2nd painting best.
You're good...really good!

Hi Mooz......Think I like the gold-yellow one best, has a more romantic look to it. I might add some white along the shoreline. Nice.........Lenore
