Still painting watercolours at the moment so got out an old holiday photograph and manipulated it a bit.
and knocked out this watercolour.
Any comments to improve appreciated.

I'd just throw in some darker tones here and there in the foreground sand to give it more modeling.

It looks good so fare !
Try to darken the shadow behind the house to make it pop out from the background.

Yep...some darks would definitely work here...take a look at your reference photo and find the darkest areas...or greyscale it...some dark areas around the house...and some splatter (I love splatter!) on the foreground sand...larger splats in the fore foreground...getting smaller in the distance...
Also...decide what your main interest area is and make that the place where dark meets light...draws the eye... ...sigh...wish I was there....

Beautiful seascape, I'd add some darks in strategic places too. What a lucky person you were to get to visit such a gorgeous place!
