Wow. I wish I was a portrait expert...probably best that I'm not, because this is simply beautiful. How tempting is it to do a color glaze on parts of this? I am so pleased by your control of the values here.

Doris ....I used Windsor & Newton "Liquin Original".... it's great for a smooth finish and dries in a day..... this portrait was completed in 3 days ....

The eye on our left looks a little big...but it doesn't spoil the portrait for me!!

You seem to be constantly pushing yourself and it shows in the work...this is an outstanding portrait..that has amazing emotive qualities!! :clap:

oh just here and there Mark....
lot of water under the bridge...
yeah I think that the white of that left eye might be a touch too bright....
I've been tempted to change it a couple of times....:)

What a great, intriguing expression. Beautiful values. I agree on the eyes, but probably wouldn't have noticed if Mark hadn't mentioned. I like this a lot.
