I tried to capture the cold solitude of a pond at dawn. I love yellow skies!

I love yellow skies too. And you cleverly put some purple in the snow and trees to balance it off. Nice piece!

Excellent. Great colors. The yellow sky is a nice choice, very different.

 Bravo! It was brave to put a golden sky in a snow scene...love the feel of this impending weather. A blizzard may be coming around the corner or it may be warming up. The only comment is I'd put a little golden yellow into the too cold bluish snow and a dab in the trees for balance. On my monitor I can't see any small amounts if you did do that already as mentioned above. Thanks! This is so unique!

very nice..it has an old-fashioned illustrative look to it...it's those trees which are basically one toned...
the yellow sky and blue snow add more interest because they aren't typical

I have one suggestion for this beautiful piece. Consider putting a few more small branches in, this time with them coming towards the viewer. The way I'm seeing it now, all the branches go to the side and away from the viewer. IMO it would be a more real look if you did this. Nice work with lots of potential!

Neat painting. I like these colors together but would not have thought to put them together like this.
