Title: The Kiss
Year Created: 2007
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!
A portrait from All Media Art Events
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Is the rough side of this paper appropriate for a portrait like this one? How are my skin tones? C&C welcome!

Really good start, Cindy, but it does look grainy.
You might want to leave this one at this stage and start it over on smoother surface.
It has real potential.

I actually like the sort of stippled look - gives it a Warhol silk screen feel. Only critique is that the shadow beneath their chins is making it look like it was from a reference photo taken with a flash. I love the direction of the woman's eyes; she's either watching herself in the mirror or playing to the camera, anxious to see how she looks. Nice.

Kisses are intimate. If she is distracted by us may take away from this. Cindy your talent really shows. I guess I would want her to me more attentive to her companion. Ejtupi has a great point though maybe you want her to include the audience in this kiss.....nice work..........John

I really like your drawing! but I think too your paper is too grainy - except for that, skin tones lok fine too me - I'd say the girl's eyes are a little too low...

She looks like a handful.
The rough side really doesn't work for me (on this one) and I believe a focal point would be a plus but your idea was near perfect.
(Among other things I guess I really AM a voyeur. :))
