Hello everyone.

I work for a company which is now trying to create a new glass art school. The company is called Mondo Vetro, and it is located in Montilla, a town in southern Spain. We are planning to open our school next year 2008. And of course, we need teachers.

I have asked a few people in the forums via PM, but now I am asking publically because we are in need of a glass jewellery teacher. I don't mean glass beading, but jewellery made with the fusing techniques. If you are experienced with fusing-made glass custome jewellery, please contact me via PM.

One little detail: the courses we'll offer will last five days maximum, with a maximum of ten pupils.

There are few requisites, them being the next:

1º. Fluent English or Spanish are needed. We can translate to and from English, though knowledge of Spanish would be welcome.
2º. We'd like to see your costume jewellery work.
3º. If you have any teaching experience, that's even better. No need of an exact resume, but a few details of your work, a few images of it, and of your teaching experience (or lack of it with explanation of why you're still going to be a great teacher) would be needed.
4º. We can pay nice wages, but if you are at transoceanic distance from Spain, you may find that all the wages go into the plane ticket. Please do have this in consideration before applying. In the future, we'd like to pay for travel expenses, but so far it's not possible.

If you are interested, or know someone who may be, please tell him or her.

We have plans to make this art school last decades from now, so if everything goes right, even if we don't hire you this year, we may do so next. We hope to have the chance, anyway :)

Well, if anyone's interested, I'll be connected all weekend to be able to get your PMs.

Thanks everyone for your attention,

Isabel

I hope some people will be interested.

I just wanted to add that if you feel confident enough as to teach in any other glass art technique, you may as well contact me. We need teachers in both traditional and Tiffany stained glass windows, beadmaking, fusing, blown glass, casting. You can contact me via PM.

If you have any doubts, you can see the website of the company. So far, it only shows the company as a selling metarials for artisan glasswork, but we plan to include info about the teaching installations soon:
