View Full Version : playing hooky to go plein airing
I took off a day from the mural job I'm on. It was too beautiful a day to work inside. Back to Brookgreen Gardens, of course! I stayed all day and got two paintings done.
Both are oil on canvas/masonite panel, 12 x 16, knife paintings:
Thank you for sharing your paintings, and part of your day with us. :)

Both are gorgeous-----absolutely LOVE the second one!
The "garden staff" should set up a show for you.

Beautiful paintings Ruth! I don't blame you for playing hookie to paint in this beautiful place! I agree that the Gardens should give you a show! Anybody would love to have one of these!

Beautiful paintings, as always, Ruth. Have you changed your palette? Your darks seem to be warmer then what I remember of your other paintings.

How did I miss seeing these earlier!! Love them. Hope you do consider a show at the gardens...maybe they would like you to coordinate one!
Thanks, y'all, for your nice comments! :D
It makes me feel good when I go out there to paint, and even better when other people enjoy what I've done.
Ain't we lucky to be doing this stuff?
