Hi folks, started this last night, arches 1/4 sheet, davinci.cotman,ultra,cob.cerblue,hookgrn,alizred,brt,rawsienna so far. I noticed too late the boat should have been little smaller, maybe due to working under artificial light???good excuse??haha. How's it look so far, James J.
this is terrific, make sure the water shows the large swell on left. I love boats in stormy conditions. Pictures of them anyway:p

Funny you should be the 1st to hit this post, this vessel is Canadian in a race from LA to Hawaii, Where this knockdown occured is a stretch of water between Oahu and Molokai where the gusts can get very strong. This vessel lost her mast but finished the race coming in backwards with her mizzensail only. Finished 7th in her class.

This is looking very good so far. The water is beginning to look choppy and the swell Ral mentioned is starting to appear.
Looking forward to watching this happen.

That is a great story! Ka`iwi Channel, there are lots of races of all kinds through there. I'm watching to see what kind of finishing touches you put on this!

Well I think I'm finished posting 2,one scanned other camera, dont get all of the 1/4 sheet when scanned but brighter picture. Anyway, c&c, James J
Good detail of sails and rigging, especially where it touches the water. You need the sailors though?
