Margie (Alaskan Rose) is interested in sheds. :)
Here are a few from the property I live on. It used to be a very self sufficient property, with fruit trees, an abbatoir, a milking shed, hayshed and a timber mill.

Old Abbatoir - notice the grass growing on the roof!

Old Hayshed - One misty morning

Old Milking Shed - notice the figs trees in the background. They are just coming into fruit now. YUM!

Please feel free to use any of these images.
I would love it if you show me the results of anything you produce with them.

Hey, THANKS, Graham, those barns are terrific, all of them. Boy, you sure are quick to respond! As soon as I finish this commission I will attempt to paint one of them and post it in this forum. Would be fun to see if anyone else does one as well. Thanks again

Do you know Charissa, I have taken lots of photos of that building cos I love it too. It is so difficult to get a clear view from the interesting angles though because it is surrounded by bush. Now if I wasn't such a lazy so and so I'd go out there with a sketchbook and solve that problem! LOL.

Beautiful sheds, Graham. I love that light on the second one (old hay shed). Are those eucalyptus around it?

These are great pic's! I too love old barns and sheds, My fiance and I just took a very short trip to Hot Springs, Montana and along the way there were several old barns and sheds that I made my fiance stop so I could take pic's. He was cracking up saying "at this pace, we'll never get there!" Digital camera batteries went dead so I had to take the pic's with a disposable camera, can't wait to get it developed, I sure hope they turned out.

Austrailia looks like a BEATUIFUL place, these pictures you took show it as I imagined it would look there. I sure hope to visit one day.

Yes they are Diane. We have a thousand acres of them on our doorstep. :) Plus magnificent wildflowers which have just about finished for this season. And of course kangaroos. :)

Well of course I think it is a beautiful place Nakiska. Late afternoon I can sit on my back verandah watching the sun set over the forest and watch the kangaroos as they come in to feed on the freshly mown hay. Mind you, this is not typical. Most Australians live in cities on the coast. The birds also come in from the surrounding forest and drink from our birdbaths strategically place near the studio and the back verandah.
The forest floor has also been fascinating me lately. Close ups of leaves and nuts etc and the patterns they make as they fall onto the ground. I have posted these in the botanical/floral forum.
The digital camera has been a lifesaver for me too. I have taken over 15,000 images in the last couple of years and they continue to provide inspiration.
Montana brings up memories for me. As a child I was hooked on stories of wild horse roaming Montana. LOL. I would love to visit your country too. Its the landscape that interests me more than the cities and I continue to hear how welcome Aussies are in the US.
I hope you do make it here. And I think a motorhome (RV I think you call them) is the ideal way to travel if you are interested in the countryside. We have an old bus that we converted to a mobile home and we still love to get in it and just drive. LOL. If you are interested in paintings done from these trips they can be seen in the landscapes section on my website. I have also posted to the landscapes Forum on WC.
Nice talking to you Nakiska. :)
