Australian celebrity - yes; international - no.

The next person knows how to make potato salad.

10-14-2010, 06:27 PM

In other words, yes.

The next person knows who said the above quote.

10-14-2010, 07:07 PM

Greg Long
10-15-2010, 03:03 PM

the next person has never needed hospitalisation.....

10-15-2010, 04:24 PM
Are you talking about me?

Nope! "You Can't Fix Stupid" was the title of one of Ron White's Comedy Central specials. :)

The only time I required hospitalisation was when I had pneumonia at the age of three and required a stay in an oxygen tank. Still have clear memories of the experience.:(

The next person remembers their first toy.

10-15-2010, 05:02 PM
I remember several toys from when I was young, but I don't think I remember my first one.

The next person remembers their first day of school.

10-15-2010, 05:07 PM
Of Kindergarten yes! I have a picture of myself taken that day which really jars my memory. Talk about a snapshot memory...:)

The next person remembers the names of their elementary school teachers.

10-15-2010, 06:30 PM
I remember my fourth grade teacher's name, but that's all. I sort of remember my sixth grade teacher, but it eludes me. There are not many happy memories, having moved so much and always being the new kid and trying to play catch-up. I guess I just didn't care to remember.

The next person has a picture of themselves as a baby with their great-grandparents.

10-15-2010, 08:11 PM

Not my great-grandparents as they'd all passed on by the time I came along. This is my grandfather Bernard Sewell holding me in 1965. The red-eyed kid is my brother Richard.

The next person has a picture of themself as a baby that they'd like to share. :)

10-16-2010, 06:33 AM

All my baby photographs are of me at this age. One of my uncles was going through a photography phase. So lots of baby photos of me, my sister at 3 years, and my brother at 5 years-old.

The next person is married.

the next person wants to marry

10-16-2010, 01:00 PM
sorry did that 41 years ago.

the next person wants to try a different medium.

Mariette Deveau
10-16-2010, 01:00 PM
False. I've never seen the need to.

The next person enjoys large elaborate weddings.

10-16-2010, 06:24 PM
I usually enjoy going to weddings of any sort.

The next person is planning a wedding.

10-16-2010, 08:46 PM
I wish, for my daughter, but alas, no.

The next person is predicting the next persons plans :)

Mariette Deveau
10-16-2010, 08:55 PM

I'm predicting the next person's plan is to take over the world.

10-16-2010, 09:08 PM
Yes, How did you know?

I believe the next person is having sordid dreams.

lawn jockey
10-17-2010, 03:13 AM
Sordid you actually call them sordid? I dream of riding racehorses out the starting gate and the bells are ringing the buglers are playing and I twirl my stick like a majorette and win the race! Hardly sordid at all, exciting though!

lawn jockey
10-17-2010, 03:15 AM
OOps the next person here...is an addict,to something else

10-17-2010, 12:32 PM

10-17-2010, 01:36 PM

Greg Long

False, for a very short time..

the next person rides a bicycle

10-17-2010, 09:06 PM
Yes and quite zealously. I'm an endurance rider and try to push myself past 50 miles or more on a trip. The days of 100-mile rides are long behind me though...

The next person has a network of bike and walking paths near their home.

10-17-2010, 09:31 PM
True...Anchorage has an incredible bike trail system...summer biking is fantastic!

The next person has an excellent mass transit system where they live..

10-17-2010, 09:42 PM
Simple bus service here in New Bedford but 50 miles to the north is certainly the oldest mass transit system in the country the T, made famous by the song "Charlie and the MBTA." Don't forget your Charlie pass!

The next person can sleep in a moving vehicle (provided they're not driving...:D )

10-18-2010, 03:50 AM
yes easily had lots of practice.

the next person has sold a piece of art in the last month.

Greg Long

the next person doesn't sell their art as a living....

10-18-2010, 07:17 AM
Not yet.

The next person is feeling very hot.

10-18-2010, 12:13 PM

true..I never seem to get sick..:crossfingers:

The next person believes in home remedies...

10-18-2010, 03:42 PM
I do believe some home remedies work as well, if not better, than drugs. I still take drugs when needed, though.

The next person lives and works in two different states. (I may have done this one already.)

10-18-2010, 04:01 PM
Not currently. I did work for a graphic design agency in R.I. ten years ago which meant a daily commute from New Bedford to Newport.

Halloween is a big deal in the next person's house.

10-18-2010, 04:10 PM
no, bah humbug ... oh, whoops wrong Holiday...:D :D

The next person is making travel plans for the upcoming Holidays!

10-18-2010, 04:24 PM
In family negotiations as we speak. Would love to spend Thanksgiving in Maine but since working Black Friday is mandatory it kind've puts a crimp on an out-of-state trip.

The next person will probably (since it's still too early to know for sure) be spending the holidays closer to home.

Greg Long
10-18-2010, 05:05 PM
Yes, as we don't celebrate thanksgiving.....
Christmas is always spent at home..or close by

the next person likes Christmas....

10-18-2010, 05:07 PM
I'll probably be spending the holidays in my house.

The next person also has a hard time organizing holidays due to marriages, divorces, inlaws, etc.

10-19-2010, 05:27 PM
Most of my relatives have grown up and moved interstate or overseas (jobs, marriage) so it really is not that hard organising the small group of us that is left.

The next person has an overdue library book that needs to be returned.

10-19-2010, 05:28 PM
I haven't checked a book out from the library in a really long time, so no.

The next person would really like to invest more in some good books, magazines and/or reference materials for their art.

10-19-2010, 05:36 PM
Always keep my eyes open. Just lately I've been thinking alot of interesting skies and cloud cover affected by the sun, would definitely lend more mood and atmosphere to my work. Need to start a collection of "inspiration" on file. :)

The next person also often looks at the sky and wishes they could capture it on canvas.

10-19-2010, 05:38 PM
I find myself doing that all the time.

Realist or colorist?

10-19-2010, 05:57 PM
Oops! Not again... :D

Realist who strongly desires to become a colorist.

The next person occasionally looks through old books and magazines collected in their home and surprises themselves when they find a book they haven't seen in ages and then promptly loses an hour or more re-reading it.

10-19-2010, 06:15 PM
What is my problem? Not paying attention, apparently.

Actually, no. I have been through all my books so many times, there are no surprises there.

The next person is a realist who would like to be a colorist... or visa versa. :)

Greg Long
10-20-2010, 08:39 AM
false, I am who I am....

the next person hates pigeon holes....

10-20-2010, 02:25 PM
It never occurred to me to hate pigeon holes because it's not something I have to deal with.

The next person hates constantly having to slam on the breaks because of wildlife.

10-20-2010, 03:50 PM
The only wildlife I have to slam my brakes for around here are teenagers and drivers using their cell phones and not paying attention.

Texting and driving has recently become illegal where the next person lives.

10-20-2010, 05:09 PM
Texting and use of mobile/cell phones while driving has been illegal here for a while now, unfortunately, many still do it.

The next person has never had a speeding fine.

10-20-2010, 05:17 PM
Racked up quite a few when I first got my license but since then I haven't been pulled over for speeding in 20 years.

The next person has a member of law enforement in their family.

10-20-2010, 05:25 PM
Ok, I'm late.
Yes. I have a brother who's a sheriff's deputy.

The next person remembers when their state's "blue laws" were still active.

10-20-2010, 05:31 PM
Wasn't all that long ago here. I remember how tentative some liquor stores were about opening on Sunday...and how quickly they all jumped on board soon after.

The next person sometimes wishes they would re-adopt the "blue laws."

10-20-2010, 05:39 PM
Yes, I would like to see things go back to a simpler time.

The next person things were simple and honest like they were in the "TV 50's"

10-20-2010, 05:57 PM
I like the simple and honest elements of '50's TV without the moral absense and endless drama of today so yes I would. But wouldn't that mean everything would be in black and white? ;) :)

(Hmm...that reminded me of the movie Pleasantville  )

The next person feels that most electronic gadgetry clutters lives rather than simplifies them.

10-20-2010, 06:00 PM
I like gadgets pretty well, but enough is enough. What did we spend all our money on 20 years ago?

The next person enjoys cooking from scratch.

10-20-2010, 06:06 PM
What did we spend all our money on 20 years ago?

Much bigger gadgets! :)

From scratch, no. Not very confident in the kitchen.

The next person will be eating Take-Out tonight.

10-20-2010, 06:23 PM
Nope. Pot-luck on Wednesday nights.

The next person gets together with others regularly for fun/dinner/birthdays.

10-21-2010, 11:16 AM
Absolutely...even though my little group of Thai Taste friends did forget my birthday last summer

The next person loves that autumn smell of wood stoves in the air.

10-21-2010, 11:26 AM
Absolutely...even though my little group of Thai Taste friends did forget my birthday last summer
I'm sure your real friends wouldn't slight you intentionally by forgetting your birthday.

The next person loves that autumn smell of wood stoves in the air.

I do love the smell of wood smoke, weinie and marshmallow roasts, and wood heat on frosty mornings.

The next person wishes the coyotes would quit making such a racket at night so they can get some sleep.

10-21-2010, 12:04 PM
Quite frankly I'd be extremely nervous if I heard coyotes yowling away in the early hours around here. The loud Latino music from across the street can be bad enough!

The next person has heard a peacock cry. (sounds like a very anxious cat)

10-21-2010, 12:15 PM
Yes, as a matter of fact, when we lived in town some people that lived a couple of blocks from us had an albino peacock. When it squawked, you could hear it for a really long way.

The next person has picked up a huge snake like an anaconda.

10-21-2010, 12:17 PM

False. Been to 5 Canadian Provinces (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island) and also Cancun, Mexico.

The next person has experience with archery.

10-21-2010, 01:01 PM
No. It looks like fun, but I've never tried it. I think I'd like to try a regular bow and arrow, maybe a kiddie size. My brother has a compound bow, but it's impossible to load and you have to wear a shield on your arm to keep it from bruising, so I'm not too interested in that one.

The next person likes shooting a gun for target practice.

10-21-2010, 01:12 PM
Yes, very much so. Enjoy the .45 but a 9mm is much more accurate for target shooting (for me anyway).

(I did a little archery when I was younger, the bow and arrow, not the compound. You need the shield on your arm for the regular bow, even a kiddie sized one. The line is very abrasive over multiple releases!)

The next person is a strong multitasker.

10-21-2010, 02:22 PM
I really try to be, but I've been falling down on the job lately. I seriously, seriously have got to get better organized. My job depends on it.

I've written many of them in my head, but I haven't actually sent one in.

The next person has worked at a newspaper in any capacity.

10-21-2010, 03:45 PM
Yes, from the composition room (using hot wax to place ads and bodies of text to boards - showing my age here LOL) to the mail room collating and sorting flyers and papers (can almost taste the paper dust). I used to like marking out all the white specks on the negatives. :D

The next person has worked in shipping/receiving.

Mariette Deveau
10-21-2010, 05:35 PM

QUOTE ROB: "...using hot wax to place ads and bodies of text to boards - showing my age here ..."

10-21-2010, 05:46 PM
I have a cup and saucer collection at home. Does that count?

The next person really, really needs to start being creative.

How do you make yourself creative? Just do it and it comes, or sit and wait for inspiration? Just musing here...

10-21-2010, 06:04 PM
Cup and saucer is what I had in mind so yep definitely counts.

At the moment I'm busy with art so creativity isn't the issue. It's slowing down all the ideas that pop in my head that want to get drawn. I really need to start using a media that isn't so time consuming! :D

The next person kept a diary/journal as a child.

10-21-2010, 06:19 PM

The next person works with someone who flirts shamelessly with customers. :D

10-25-2010, 04:22 PM
Not right now

The next person thinks of things to say on here... until it's time to do it and then... nothing.

10-25-2010, 04:47 PM
And go blank? Absolutely. Fun to reply to predictions...but then you have to come up with one of your own!

The next person...err...ummm...has an ornate letter opener.

10-25-2010, 05:14 PM
Not terribly ornate, but more than a butter knife. One is shaped like a heart and the other looks like a sword.

The next person is working on an experimental project.

10-25-2010, 05:27 PM
Played with some ideas (in rough sketch form) over the weekend, ideas that are a little out of my usual comfort zone. We'll see what comes of them. :)

The next person is breaking out of a creative lull.

10-25-2010, 05:42 PM

The next person regularly visits the Reference Image Library.

10-26-2010, 05:37 PM
Not regularly. I do take spells when I'm looking for something to inspire me, though.

The next person has had enough of crying, whining people, and I don't mean babies!

10-26-2010, 05:51 PM

No babies here but you describe my customers to a T...and my patience has worn paper thin.

The next person is looking for ways to simplify their life.

10-26-2010, 05:54 PM
I'm constantly looking for ways to simplify and be more frugal

the next person has more realistic aims most days.

10-27-2010, 05:41 PM

Yes, fond memories of art class at high school in mid-70's. The teacher usually had some music playing in the background while we worked away on our projects. In fact, her favourites were Alice Cooper and Cat Stevens, so whenever I hear them now, I quite often think of those art classes.
