i remember with exquisite clarity, being perhaps 4 years old, in Sweetwater texas, a hot summer day.. my uncle had set the twirlybird sprinkler on in the front yard , and in my little green swimsuit i ran into the arcing waters...each hurled drop of water was a miracle to my sunwarmed flesh, oh, exultant joy, dizzying that life could be so good, so very pleasurable in such a simple act

Not too far. But no, just a couple dustings of snow. We do have the crazy zero degree weather, though. Not quite as cold as you have it, though.

Unfortunately, I did. The pump in our springhouse froze so, of course, everything is rock solid now. I'm dreading to see the mess of broken pipes when it all thaws.

Yes, I saw some deer tracks just a while ago. And some deer skeletons and feet and teeth and fur... a regular deer massacre over by a hunting stand. Our dogs think it's a smorgasbord, though.

I looked it up because I was curious. According to Wikipedia: Eggs Benedict is a dish that consists of a half of an English muffin, topped with ham or bacon, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce.

I have no idea the nationality of most of my waiters. Certainly never one that spoke French.

False, I drive a 15 year old 2.5 litre deisel Mitzubishi L300 van. Runs itself, even on pure veggie oils, carries loads of fishing gear and painting gear plus paintings etc.
