This is a commision I just finished for my niece, her husbands grandfather was a Montana Rancher who passed away last year.
I did this in oil with the wipe out technique, it is my favorite.
20 X 24 Oil on canvas

You did an excellent job on this, Betty. The wipe out technique can give some wonderful shading.

I've done this method of painting before on another old cowboy, it gives them a great old western atmosphere.
