GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Linda, in memorium
Year Created: 2097
Medium: Oil
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 18X24
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I know the one earing is too long. It was done on purpose. I have no idea why...

her left eye seems not quite in tune with her right eye. I lost her on January 1st 1998 to a car accident. This was painted the year before. I did not "gussy" her up, she was that pretty. The photo is a bit fuzzy.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
nothing really. the technique was so long ago it is hardly relevant now. Still if you would like to comment, please do so.

Thank you for sharing this lovely painting of Linda.
The colors are definitely hers.
The blouse sets her off wonderfully- she must have enjoyed wearing it and then seeing how you saw it and painted it.
Yes, her right eye is just a tad too dark. One dot one way or the other, but it's fine.
I'll join you in remembering Linda.

Her personality lives through your work. Pictures are fine, but paintings reveal the soul, which you have captured so beautifully.

Linda looks an elegant lady, with her long neck, blue eyes and lovely shirt and jewlery. I love espesialy the way you captured her hair.
I like the fact you made one earing longer!

I kind of wish I had just looked at the picture without knowing the story - I cant view it with an impartial eye now. I can see a wonderfully warm woman, painted with love. I like the slightly off earing and am really keen on the way you have painted the outfit. 10 year anniversary coming up. I will think of you on Jan 1st. Thanks for showing this.

Lovely handling of the hair and the clothing.

I don't know the story here, but it seems a loving tribute to someone close to you.

Corby,

She was a very beautiful woman, and you captured her beauty well. I think in more ways than one, as the feeling I get is she lives on in your heart.

She must have been very proud of your talent!

I wish you well,

Linda

I love this one of my mom too...
My kitten Sockey loves this painting.
He stretches up on the wall trying to touch the painting.
He meows wile trying to paw it.
He must think mom was a true lover of cats and we know that she was.

Your love for her is in every brushstroke of this painting - what person would not want to be remembered in such a beautiful, touching way. I especially the way you painted her blue dress, it really accents the fact that she was a lovely lady. Thank you for inviting all of us to remember her - people we have loved and lost remain alive as long as we keep them in our hearts and hold them close in our memories.

Corby-

Thank you for sharing this lovely picture...although I never met Linda, I think you have captured the essence of an interesting, lovely lady.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's not something one can compartmentalize... but I think she would be delighted to see you doing new things in your life that she wasn't a part of...

The longer earring shows the tilt of her head perfectly.

Love,
Curlytop

The camera has not been invented that can take a picture like that.

Someone once said people may forget what you said or did but they never forget the way you made them feel. Truly she gave you that gift.

I think it is fantastic C.
You have let us see through your work a lady that was quite attractive, and that must have been very classy, and special as you are.
Thanks for sharing such an intimate piece of you.
