My youngest son went to stay at his Nanna's overnight so I thought it would be a great opportunity to get painting.
So I started this yesterday afternoon and took progress photos along the way, and I managed to finish it today before he came home.

I am loving painting kitties at the moment, I figured I'd recently painted a Jaguar and then a Tiger so why not try a Lion.
I liked this photo from the Reference Library (thank you whoever uploaded it!) ...

I decided not to include the background and chose a dark grey paper to work on.
This project was 8x10 inches with pastel pencils on Canson.

Thank you so much everyone! Yes Susan I got as much sleep as an 8 month pregnant woman gets, lol! It was really more of a do a bit here, do a bit there project as I still had my eldest son home with me, although I must admit it becomes easier to paint as they get older. Thanks again, hope to share something new again soon!
