MY COMMENTS:
I love the sea, I like to imagine beautiful things around the sea area, the waves, the seashore ,the seagulls, and of course the fish , they are so beautiful, and when a fish can become half human and half fish, that should be very wonderful.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
compositon,perspective.

Interesting composition. The gulls and the waves are well executed but the mermaids proportions seems a bit distorted (now who knows a mermaids proportions anyway?) Also she doesnt seem to have a shadow. And the nose is "outlined".
But remove the mermaid and the painting is perfect :D :D :D

Hi Zhenlian! And welcome to the WC! Nice colors and the way the scales are done is really neat! I also like the delicacy of the tail and the water. The nature of seagulls being what it is , If I were part fish I would not want to be lying around on the beach, especially with such large gulls! Still the painting is a fantasy, and very nicely done. A little overlapping of images would make it more cohesive...

I think the faraway, dreamy look in her eyes is enough to make me love this picture.

Although I think this painting is very well done... she is gorgeous... I must agree with Corby about the gulls, and how they are eyeing her. Living where I live, I know that look from these birds (which you captured so well). And, they are hungry, and she is unaware.
I especailly love the tail, and how you have captured the fish scales. Nice work.
