GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Mochica
Year Created: 1990
Medium: Colored Pencil
Surface: Paper
Dimension: 9X12
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
I just ran across then in file. There was a national Geographic back in 1990 on the Ancient Mochica people. ( one should be fairly glad they are ancient) I was moved to do this pencil drawing. The image is somewhat fuzzy so the pencil work does not really show as such whereas in the original it is not so fine that you cannot tell.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I would just be interested in what the assesments were on something I did so long ago.

Corby, good to see you post some of your work. You've got a lot of talent and a lot of patience to do something like this. What detail !! and wonderful colors. Sort of reminds of a guy in a dream I had one night.

Nice piece of work, you show a lot of patience for detail, the Moche people from Peru where great artist, wonderful pottery survived.

well hello Mochica!

He seems a small man, doesn't say much, but those eyes have authority !
very cool corvus, like him alot, tho i think i might prefer a little less green in his face, something more on the brown side maybe better
very creative stuff

Corby, I wouldn't want to meet this fellow after reading about their 'practice' of sacrificing children.

This is excellent! A very good depiction of an ancient but powerful man.

Well! I'm glad I unearthed the old fellow from his portfolio grave! Thanks for the comments! (howed ya like to brush your teeth with that flap hanging out of your nose? and we complain about mascara and ties.)
