Just goes to show how true the maxim of less is more. Simple is always good, I believe. This is lovely and the texturing is excellent. Is this graphite or pen and ink?

Wow, congratulations on your prize! There must have been something in it that the judge/judges found appealing. It's funny how every judge has different tastes. I've had works that I thought would never get juried into a show actually be the ones that got picked.

Well - the title actually says it - as had to get a piece for the show, and so this was literally an afterthought - so made it all the more funny winning....
