A reference photo, i'm caught between a few i like but at the same time i hate them... can someone just pick a good photo for me to paint, don't say "use google" or "go to the refernce library". Just upload a pic or give link. Thanks in advance

Here is one from our reference library you might like. http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/10-Oct-2007/626-IMG_1944.JPG

Many times photos don't inspire us as they often are not as pretty as the real scene. If you find a photo in which you like the subject and composition, you can always play around and bump up the colors.

Happy painting

Jordan,
Indecision at your age.......wait till you're forty and decide to get fit, leaving the armchair to go to the gym .........that's indecision.

You have two great choices here.
The important thing is to get some paint onto a surface.
Don't worry about how it's going to turn out, it'll be just fine.
So turn off the computer and paint.

I saw your drawing skills in your other thread..:)

If you are undecided what to paint. why don't you doodle in your sketch book.:) You just might be surprised what you come up with.

Is there any where near you, you can go out and do a pleine air sketch, or could your parents take you for a drive?

Make a morning or afternoon of it and have some fun..

Do any of your friends draw and paint? Maybe you could get a kids group happening..:)

Cheers JJ

Is it indecision, or lack of motivation/discipline?

Only you can determine that.

Find your path, don't tread on the paths of others. it is far more satisfying.

Why not try joining in the Different Strokes project this month?
Look at the top of the forum page to find it.
This month's ref. is a landscape - and on 20th, you'll get to see how all the other participants have painted the same subject.

That's a good idea Maureen. I'm going to try to join in more often too. It's good to challenge yourself and just paint something, even if you don't feel like you are in the "mood". You might never paint if you wait for that moment. You have to make it happen.
