Hi there to all... I thought this was an interesting exercise... I painted two of these...

I painted them exactly the same... same composition... same colours...

The above painting is the finished version that I'm mose happiest with as I added Ultramarine Blue as a final glaze to the shadows and to shape the lemons...

The next two pictures that appear below... is the other painting before I added the Ultramarine Blue...

So I have two paintings... one that seems to brings out the colour of the lemons... and one that doesn't...

What are your views on this... looking forward to some replies...

I like it better with the blue glaze, it looks a little unfinished without it. Really nice!

Polygon...yes I agree... looks like I will have to treat the 2nd painting in the same manner by adding Ultramarine Blue. Thanks for your reply.
