There is one big problem about the monkey. The monkey is hungry and needs a banana. Just kidding, they are all very well made. The way the zebra stands seems a little weird. Also they are all about the same size except the elephant, but thats not even a problem.

Forgive my stupid joke.

A very beautiful menagerie! What talent you have Kate. When I look at any single item of mine it doesn't look to bad, but put them all together and they look like a collection of mistakes! The fineness of these paintings of yours are increased by their multiplicity! good job.

The zebra is awesome. I can't get the thing to show up full size. The thumbnails aren't working for me. Bummer.
Is that a chimpanzee? Then it's not a monkey, it's an ape. Just like humans, no matter how we behave...we're still apes.

Really great to see the series all together like this. They all stand alone well, but it's a very nice reinforcement to see them lined up: the compositions, the colours and the textures providing foils for one another. Good stuff!

Kate, Very nice. I really love the way these are colored and though each piece is strong they are at their strongest when grouped together. Great stuff! ~Gary

wonderful!

would be fabulous at an international wildlife association thingy - have you thought of donating them?

the zebra does look odd, but i think he's snuggling with another zebras butt isn't he ... perhaps a touch of shadows to accentuate that

love the vibrant colors, fav is the tiger for sure for me

I like the line up you have with the thumbnails and can't imagine a better order.
As far as the monkey... should he have more "meat" on the back of his neck/shoulders? (Don't know if you have photo references).. and the lighting over his head looks a bit like some sort of aura!! ;-p
I agree that the body and neck of the zebra don't hang together just right... Perhaps some area near the "fold" needs to be in shadow?
I love the personality you've caught in the elephant and tiger.

lol well, no la, but we can pretend that he's snuggling another's butt...these are out of my hands now

you're right painter woman, the aura around his head was a problem...he was a problem monkey, that one
