Hi to everybody
I am so pleased I was referred to this site as I have only been painting for a short while and desperately need some advice and comments.

Hi Tracey and welcome to the forum.

You seem to have learnt a lot in a short time - this is really delicate and you've portrayed the poppy well.
The colour is super.

If you use the Image Uploader in the Quick Links menu (2nd blue bar, top right) your image will show full size instead of thumbnail ......... make it 500pixels on the longest measurement and you'll get a good sized image.
There's a link to resizing images in my signature - just click:D

Hi Tracey,
Welcome to the Forum. Your lilac poppy is lovely. What medium are you painting in and what size is your work?

I'd love to see more of your work, especially after a really lovely painting like this.

Thankyou so much for your comments. I began painting four months ago and I enjoy it so much - it has completely changed the way I see things in 'everyday life'. I have always appreciated art but never thought that I would be able to paint - thank you once again for your kind words as they have given me lots of encouragement. The lilac poppy was painted in acrylic and I think I will stay with that for now.
Thanks again
