Thank you ranunkel. The bug pics do take a lot of patience, lots of images and more often than not, lucky timing.

Wow Carol you got him flying.... good job! This is a rose, isn't it? Do those leaves I see go with it? They almost look like mint leaves.

It was an old fashioned rose, very fragrant too and a prolifically flowering plant. The smell was quite heady.

You're getting some really good pics on your travels Carol ...... haven't a clue about c&c for photos - except that it's sharp in places, nice soft focus in others and the bug's amazing! :D
