I've been super busy this week getting ready for my first outdoor art show and that combined w/downtime while WC servers were upgraded, haven't been able to upload this. It's 12 x 16" canvas, acrylics as usual, tried something new this time - used black canvas to stretch with instead of my usual white. And then just sealed it with some glazing medium prior to painting.
This is the painting I'll be working on during the event (try to!), mind you, I'll be more interested in visiting with the people for sure!
Anyway, the premise of this series (started with "Birch") is to focus on the rich textures and colors of the Autumn season allowing the images to take on an abstract quality.
This is based on an image of dried up Magnolia pods.
