In Auvers-sur-Oise I took this picture of Cafe Ravoux. Van Gogh's room was upstairs in the attic, with no window, just a push-out sky light. He used to eat in the cafe on the main floor, which is still open for business.
There is a small gift and book shop in this building too, where I got a great buy on a nice Van Gogh book, full of excellent reproductions of his work, and the text is all in French...bien sur.
I'm glad you guys are finding these photos interesting. Your comments on Van Gogh have rekindled my interest, too.
