View Full Version : London Street with WIP photos

Actually, the WIP photos are a bit painfully small here -- they're a bit larger on my blog -- but you get the gist of it. This is another quickie, probably 3 hours from start to finish including drying time between layers.

It was really exciting to do an after dark piece but it's FRIGGING IMPOSSIBLE to photograph! The glare is pretty bad, not in person, but to a camera, it's a deal breaker. So picture me doing everything I can to get a good photo of it for eBay. . . I ended up taking the photo with flash but my hand over the flash. Those suckers get hot, did you know?

C & C welcome.

Another super street scene maggie - love your english cars - and the blue accents do tie it all together beautifully!

The first thing that struck me was the colors and then the perspective, really cool:thumbsup:

my camera has a built in flash, I cover it with black tape. Perhaps you can make some kind of cover for yours so you dont scorch your hand

I love your blue blobs too. 3 hours, gosh, that's something to aspire to.

Haha, Celeste, I'd agree except I have this nagging suspicion that if I took 6 or 18 or 24 hours on a painting, I'd get the same effect . . .

Nice one .......... two, three, six! - all the WIP pics :D

I like the blue too - sets off the golds, oranges and browns.

Had to laugh at your frustrations though! - don't we all suffer from these difficulties?
