Sorry about the blurring - the camera gets the blame this time.

This is a very good interpretation of rose petals. Color is good also. It is blurry, as you said. I tried sharpening the focus in my Corel Painter program, but it didn't help much. I have had that problem also and a WC guide suggested I try sharpening prior to posting, as the upload process weakens it some. Also, your file size is small, 7.4 KB. That was another thing I have started changing. I don't want to sound like a "know it all", but have learned these things from other WC people. I had been saving to .jpg file and had chosen good out of fair, good, high, and excellent, which gave me a file size of about 25 KBs. This was not real sharp. I started choosing excellent, which changed to about 80 or 90 KBs. This is still within WC limits and uploaded fairly fast even on my slow dial-up. I'm still not totally satisfied with the clarity, but it is much better than my previous way. I did those things after I had changed the pixel size to be within the WC range of 600 x 500 pixels.

Bill - I like the rose form - it's petal formation is so well observed and painted - and really like your rendering of the glass too.

Here are some links which may help with the image sizing - I have more info I can direct you to which explains file size, compression etc to get the best image to show and stay under 100k :D

This one I did for another forum I moderate -

Thank you for your appreciation of the painting, and for the the file handling tips.
Thanks also for the file handling links. I made my living as a computer geek, but it was with numbers, not pictures, and all this is new to me.
