Beautiful work Ellen!! The combed one is my favorite. . .Love the colors!!
Here's mine. . .
"Empress" No. 2
09-25-2007, 11:37 PM
Woah Ellen, I love the feathered one too!
And Lydia, stunning as always. I feel like yours are pulled out of rich tapestries!
I have a finished one today. Copper Green, Ivory, and transparent purple. I combined it with rainbow flourite and sterling silver. The flourite matches much better in person.

Lydia - Absolutely gorgeous - the first set is my fave and reminds me of French Castle curtains...opulent!
LizaJayne - Ooooh, I love Fluorite! Looks great together!
Here's Batu - just Translucent Ivory and silver leaf:

Wow great stuff already!
I have to admit, I have lurked lately, haven't posted in a long while.
Here is a set from me, and I am learning wire wrap, so my first pendant. Made with my own lampwork cab.

Thanks everyone. Funny thing about that feathered bead - it gave me fits. The base is, I think, white alabastro and it immediately turned sooty-gray. So obviously, I had to cover it with something so I grabbed my favorite stuff: encased stringer. The stringers got lumpy and I did a lot of pushing around with my brass "pusher" and it still looked creepy so I dragged out my trusty 1/8 mandrel that my shop buddy "pointed" for me.
Ya see? It's true - "every cloud has a silver lining."
Ashton - your beads really are regal looking
LJ - very classy necklace and the matching looks great to me
Am - take two simple ingrediants and put them together = way cool affect
Debby - your bead could be flying through space - love the color combo
Heidi - OMG! The colors and shine are wonderful together
Helen - I'll need to see that pic again come January just to remind that flowers do exist
Lori - I believe you've outdone yourself, my dear. He/she is darling!!!
Ana - are you sure you've never lived in MI? That looks just like the forest outside of town in March.
09-26-2007, 07:20 AM
Katie - great beads and wonderful wrap

Lori...I love the Yorkie!!! Great job!
These are a few different things from Tom.
Have a great day,

Been off the torch since December working on music. So glad to be back! I've missed the beautiful showcases.
Ellen - wow, your work seems to have changed a lot since my last visit. I really like the new designs. I like that look of beadwork around the bead...almost like the tiny beads you see in native american woven crafts.
Lydia - great sets, I love the rich colors
Liza - nice combination of glass and natural stones.
Naos!!! - I can still spot your beads before I even read the name. Beautiful as ever.
Debby - Great shape. That green really pops against the black.
Heidi - Very nice colors, creamy and dreamy.
Helen - Amazing florals. Makes me wish I was a girl or a drag queen so I could get away with wearng one of your pieces, LOL.
Lori - Wow! The stringers you made to do that are awesome. The final effect is amazing.
Anastasia - I can also spot your designs without even reading your name. I love this tree focal.
Katie - those blue spacers really pop against the organics. Your silversmithing work makes me jealous!!!
Tom - I love that first piece, though all of them are lovely as usual
Kitty - great sets, love the colors in the blue one
Gina - stunning depth in your set...your encasing rocks
Val - elegant work!
