I hope it's OK to go first???? Here is a cross stitch pattern that I found in an ME book. (Mary Engelbreit) It is done on 14-count white Aida cloth. I think it's about 12" X12".
Thanks for looking!

Yeah! You get a http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/25-Sep-2007/17813-44191-30494-goldstar2.gif for being the first to show your work in the new forum!
That would make a great pillow or even printed as a Christmas card Sher. The cross stitching is impeccable, esp. working around that star pattern! Well done!

Sher, it's gorgeous...and so very nicely stitched as well! I love ME! My knitting journal has a ME cover!
Congrats on being the first to post a pic.
When I was a younger person I used to cross stitch 1x1 on linen...but my eyes got too old to see stitches that tiny!

Sher- lovely work!
I used to cross-stitch. Definitely an art for younger eyes!:wink2:
Thanks Li! Oh boy! My first star!!!
Pamela, thanks..I too am in love with ME designs. I did a bird house in acrylic paints in her style with fried egg flowers, sunflowers and white dots on a black background. If I could figure out what forum to post it in I would show you.
Beth, Thanks...that's the thing about ME...most of her stuff looks like the fifties.
Mary, If you will notice the red on the bottom of the picture.....it's in a frame that I painted red to set off the picture. After all that work I would die if anyone put their head, feet or rump on it!
Rose Queen, Thank you for that little reminder *grrr* I wasn't even thinking about the holidays!
Hi Gladys! Thanks for the sweet compliment. I seem to run into you where ever I go, huh? Good to hear from you!
Kathy, Thanks, but young eyes? I usually work with size 15 beads. Cross stitching is a piece of cake compaired to my beading. I'm 60 in November so my eyes are anything but young.
Thanks everyone....you are all too kind!
OK..you've seen mine...now where's yours?

Oh! this is nice! ME does have some really neat designs.
My mom used to stitch things like this to hang up for the holidays, kinda reminds me of being home for x-mas.
Cassie, I'm happy that I brought back a warm fuzzy memory or two for you. That's what I'm hoping my son will remember when I'm no longer here!
