I've had a close friend staying from Sydney - we went out shopping for gifts to take home for her teenage girls...... and found ourselves in the local art shop buying up big time ;)
- we used 8x8 in canvases - light molding paste to apply our designs we came up with over lunch and then several layers of colours including pale gold (micaceous) we ended up with these - poetry thanks to William shakespeare and Elizabeth Browning!

These are lovely, Ruth! I think they would make great gifts for girls of any age.:D

fantastic Ruth! I am so in love with mixed media too! Have been wondering how you've got on with your friends - Can see we'll have to have an art trail day next week!

Hi Celeste, Lulu and Elizabeth - thanks, we had lots of fun making them!
We used the oven on fan bake (heated it up then turned off the heat but kept the fan going) to dry them - it was great!

Lulu - I'd love an art trail - tommorrow is last day before school hols tho! My daughter would love it but my son has been known to sit out a visit to the art gallery (so stereotypical!)
