View Full Version : Shire Horse at work and play
Hi, i am posting a lot later that i planned because i have spent a lot of time reading artistdbs' article on how to sell your work and i was facinated and learnt so much. It was wonderful as i am new to pen and ink and this is only my second posting here.
Anyway, i did this from a ref photo here at wc by Crais (thank you Crais).
It is pen and ink and watercolour with a 1 inch graphite at the bottom depicting the play part.
Thanks for looking

The blue background really makes this beauty pop. I like the idea of a separate sketch for the play part. It makes the piece unusual and special. Good work, Daka.

Great job Daka, I love it... But here comes the question.
I see, the black is with a 0.1 ebbing, the sky is watercolour washes... what about the various grey tones on the horse!!! are those graphite or washes...
The close up i s very nice.
They are watercolour washes Tammamo. Thanks for the comments too, i appreciate it.

Beautiful work Daka -- love the way you've put the coloured wash behind the horse, and also the little section at the bottom.
