Welcome back, Benjamin. I really like how you did her dress and as always your faces are perfect. Where have you been hiding? I miss seeing your work.

Thanks for the positive replies. Sassybird: I've been studying Chinese and unfortunately it takes up a lot of my time. Daka: I'm not sure I understand your question, what do you mean by 'support'?

ah, not a criticism in sight, this is my favourite work from all i've seen you do over the years, the strand of hair and those soft soft eyes make it perfect. i can't find any pics online but i must urge you to go to a library/shop and look at a copy of lucien freud's "lucien freud: paintings" (http://www.amazon.com/Lucian-Freud-Paintings-Robert-Hughes/dp/0500275351) by robert hughes...

its totally left field i know but his early drawings will strike a chord with you im sure, and even tho i once hated his paintings, reading the brilliant essay by hughes and absorbing the collection of works i know love his paintings too - funny what time and thought can do. incidentally you might like some francis bacon also

btw by support she probably means surface the you drew on eg paper (assuming).

you try your hand at chinese calligraphy with the massive spikey brushes?

good to see your drawings back on track, keep it up.
