Hi guys

here is another peice I have done recently
size = 30" x 20" x 1.5"
medium = gel gloss, metallic acrylic paint, self levelling gel
colours = dark navy blue background, and the textured area is painted with a blend of metallic turquoise and metallic blue. At different light angles the 2 metallic colours interchange and it looks amazing. I created the Buttons and painted them in silver.

This is terrific when viewed from any angle. I enjoyed your last painting too, very much. :)

thank you for your nice comments

Since I started doing art, I have always had a love for metallic acrylic paint, and the wonderful results you can achieve with them. Those paints are wonderful for abstract contemporary art.

Great texture. It must look amazing in the flesh.

Creative and Interesting design, use of colors and techniques. Amazing what can be done w/acrylics and companion products like gels and glazing mediums. I'm going to have to go to the local acrylic workshop this weekend and explore more of the options available. Like the buttons, did you make them from a glaze or what? There is a photo transfer technique using glaze medium that will be part of the workshop.

Love what you've created here!

Just visit the liquitex and Golden websites for all the wonderful meduims produiced for acrylics. You will be amazed!! It's a real shame not many artist's use these products as they can provide a great platform to produce work of a very unique nature.

I am always excited by these mediums, and I tend to try many of them.

You can buy all sorts of texture mediums as well, which produce some interesting effects.
