I have some problems of internet connection. I cannot come very often on the forum, to my big regret. However it allows me to draw...
Here is the portrait of my mare. I lost my mare in last May. She was at home for 25 years. This portrait was difficult to make but I am very happy of the result. She misses me enormously.
Coloured pencils on black colourfix Art Spectrum. Approx. 19" x 20".

It was not the name of my portrait, but it is a magnificent idea. I keep this name. I have no talent to name my paintings :( Thank you :wink2:

Armelle, I think thats a beutiful name for the beautiful horse you have painted. Oh, how lucky those of you who have horses. I only have dogs, but I love to see your paintings.

I think it's a great name for it, and would show your feelings for her. She looks a lot like my own mare, Ella. Ella's a standardbred, what breed is she? You may be inspiring me to finally do a nice portrait of Ella.
This sure is lovely, hang it in a spot where you'll see it everyday.

Aww, that is very sad. I am sorry. I have an older mare and I guess my time of loss will come sooner than I want.
You have done a beautiful job painting her.

Beautiful! She looks very sweet natured and reminds me of my old Standardbred, too! I had him for 16 years. So sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. I'm glad you have this lovely portrait to look at and remember her, great tribute.

There is something in these "remembrance" portraits that is undefinable but is definitely there - lovely pic I bet looking at it brings back memories

The relationship you and she had informs every aspect of this beautiful painting. I suspect that I would not have needed to know the background you told us to have appreciated the emotional impact of your art. A wonderful tribute!
