Hello everyone, Haven't painted in a couple of months, but wanted to join in with this fantastic new forum - these are some very simple paintings I've splashed some paint on to warm up again.... they will sit in our new hallway ....

These are both in acrylics on canvas board, size around 20x30 in I think.

I really like the second one in the first panel. That showcases your lovely talent. The rest are less detailed than I am used to seeing from you, Ruth, but lovely anyway.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the new forum
- I should confess - these actually were the very first thing I ever painted when I started last year, I knew nothing about art so therefore thought ' come on it can't be that hard' - I never showed them on wc before  -

I've just dabbed on a little more colour on the grasses this week as at the time of doing them originally they were entirely monochromatic and flat . I've largely kept them like they were tho' - nice to have a reference point where it all began!

Wish I could splash like that! These are your first paintings? Wow! Knowing nothing about art sure didn't hold you back, that intuition knew what it was after. These are beautiful. I love the red plant.
