Unbelievable! Watercolor? As I said, it's just unbelievable!
Hi Carol, Deb & Karen :) Thanks for your comments, i am glad that you enjoyed it. Yes i work exclusively in watercolour, there is nothing that you cant do in wc & everytime i think of changing i cant think of a good reason why i would. Guess i am a sucker for it, but it is a wonderful medium. Thanks again

oh ta Laura.....what is my real work again...
Getting your work ready for all your shows, framing, shipping and so on. Oh yeah, and getting your itenerary to Seattle figured out. How many workshops am I setting up again? :D
Ha ha ha, that is almost funny Laura seings as i spent a good part of this year thinking id do exactly that - but as it goes, i had no $ to make it in the end! So, mum & dad went over & we missed out :( Actually they just returned - & they loved Seattle! My Dad is from Canada so i dream of going one day. Yesterday i got my passport in the mail, so i am a step closer now at least. When i do come over, book me up if you like :)
Right now i am getting ready for 2 exhibitions o/s so i am very busy i guess. It just goes on & on, but i have mostly been busy raising the kids at the minute just trying to fit it all in. So far so good. Fingers xed 4 Seattle huh? It would be fun :)

Heidi, your Lotus botanical is really beautiful. I am not familar with Lotus, not having heard of it before. I did follow your link for the WIP. Very impressive. Watercolor is my favorite medium also and I have always been fascinated with botanicals, probably because I like realism.
Hi Lillian & Jeanette, the Lotus is a VERY addictive plant....once you see them youll be hooked forever. They are one of my very favourite subjects, always changing with dramatic forms & flowers & breathtakingly beautiful throughout every stage of development. I know someone who has apricot colour Lotus that i would like to paint sometime.....there arent enough days in my lifetime to paint everything id like to paint, but i could happily paint Lotus forever!
Botanical paintings are extraordinarily addictive & beautiful as well....good ones that is lol. It is an always fascinating area to explore & after all these years, i am still consumed by it with little desire to do anything else. I highly recommend it & i hope that you find some time to explore it further. Thanks for your comments :)
