Hello everyone. After being away for about 5 months with the "Painting blues" I'm back. I just couldn't get inspired to paint...I was scared.
I had to push myself to start doing this one...But at least I got it done. Hopefully I'm over it. Not sure. I still feel like I have my chest so heavy and full...Jeeezzz....:(

This is my niece's puppy. She lives in Brazil but I had a chance to see her when I was in Brazil for a visit last year. Just adorable.

Soft Pastels on Velour. 14"x18"

Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.

Rose, this is really beautiful. I love how you softened the back round. It really make the pup pop. I'm feeling that rut now so I'm very glad to hear you've found your way out of it. Happy Painting.

Oh Rose, This puppy is adorable. you have done such a wonderful job on him.....

Love the way you handled the grass with the sunlight , which leads my eye into this most beautiful puppy. Which is just gorgeous!!!

So glad to see you posting again, your paintings have always been so lovely!

Hi Rose

Welcome back, the puppy is fantastic, so lifelike.
I think most of us has experienced these feelings at some stage, Its strange isn't it, where does it come from? There seems no reason for it.
Anyway, glad your back.

Rose - you may have thought you were having painting blues... but I think you were having painting reincarnation and genius happening. This is stunning and every bit as wonderful as that little guy in the piece.

The hairs are magnificent and the lighting - all of it really wonderful.

Love it! BArb

Oh Rose!! This is breath taking!!! The mood!! its so beautiful!! The puppy looks so proud, so alert to whatever might be buzzing around on a beautiful summer's day. As a dog owner and lover this is when I admire the beauty of a beast the most, when they stand in their natural attentive pose, then the true nature of the breed comes out and it is a thing of grace. You have captured it just so!! Bravo!!

I guess you were just regrouping for this masterpiece. Time away from art well spent. Hope you will get back in the swing of things again.
