I have just been pointed here by Madmum/Ruth........

I am plantaholic gardener/ex garden designer whose photo-taking replaces painting when the weather is good.

I recently bought a new camera...!!Panasonic DMC-TZ3 I have discovered I can get up to 16 x optical zoom ( 60 digital) if I reduce the megapixels used from 7 to 2 .....hence some of these 'closeups' were taken from up to 30 feet away !! All taken within the last few days to put it through its paces....None have been altered in anyway except reduced in size for here !

here are some I recently shared in the watercolour forum....

let me know if you dont think they all belong in this forum... have left out garden views , large wildlife and artefacts !

You are welcome to use these as basis of paintings but if so, please let me know and give me a credit. Thanks :)

I'm looking forward to seeing the flowers open on that purple sedum! If they're the colours promised in the RHS book they'll be interesting! lol

Jaytee has a wonderful garden which I have been lucky enough to visit numerous times (mostly on dry days, but most recently in torrential rain yet it still looked great!)

Not only do I appreciate the gorgeous photography, but it's wonderful to have someone knowledgeable name the plants they photograph. You are very generous to make these "snaggable". Thank you.
