This is my first post in this forum.
I did these flowers drawing with a red Pilot pen (water soluble) and then I added the washes in watercolor. The background of the tulips was made with salt before the painting dried. Watercolor paper size A4 approx. Please let me know your oppinion or advices. Thank you for looking.

Lovely orange rose. The tulips are great. I love that background - nice job!

Both are nice paintings. I especially like the tulips, where you've caught the light and good background. Well done.

Dolors I really like your tulips, the rose looks a bit pasted on though (not sure how to fix that in this particular medium, if you can soften some edges that would help), the background could be alot darker in places to make it pop more (like the tulips).

Welcome to the forum Dolors.

The tulips are lovely - you've caught the grace and colour and painted lovely light there.
I like your bk/ground - it ads to the character of the work.
The rose is, perhaps, not so successful, exactly because it misses what the tulips have!

Please post more of your work! :D

:D You are welcome to cross-post from one other forum.

I had no idea pen and ink could be this effective.

These are quite lovely...I think the tulips are wonderful with texture.

I think maybe a few soft edges on the flowers might enhance both the drawings, but still very pretty renditions. The background --- O YEAH!!!!! Excellent use of the salt. I like that.
