OMG Carol, the detail and light and shade in these is stunning. I really do mean it when I say you go to the top of the class with Graphite on WC.

Oh Carol that first one is so amazing. Well in fact all of them are. I have never worked in graphite, not sure I would have the patience for this.

The berries look so real, they look like they are jumping out at me...wow.

Thank you again Val :D I love graphite.

Deb is is a quick technique. The first one took about 7-8 hours and all it is is a bunch of different grade pencils H through to 9B, a stiff paint brush size #1 that has the bristles cut off to close to the ferrule, tissues, an electric eraser and a kneadable eraser. Lay in the graphite, this is a fairly quick process, scrub it to blend with the brush. If some of the highlights are lost, then pull the graphite out with the kneadable or electric (in my case battery operated) eraser. These go infinitely quicker than my paintings which are often upwards of 30-40 hours.

The blackberries, if I was to do it again, I wouldn't put in the background.

You make it sound so simple Carol but we know, you have to have the eye, the hand and the vision, not to mention the practice. Lovely work, indeed. :)

Carol, you make it sound so easy, I just might have to try it. :) Berries- Oh I love the dark background, I think it's dark enough that it's not distracting at all. Then the leaves are light then the berries darker, really makes the berries look like they are out in front.
